Hi my name is Calvin and I am from Texas. My family is taking a vacation to Niagara Falls Canada this summer and I was looking to do a little fishing and mark a box off my bucket list by catching a fish in Canada. I was hoping that someone could help me out by giving me some pointers and be there to maybe answer some questions if I have any. Just want to put it out there that I am not here to try and steal anyones honey hole. I just want to catch a fish or two get some nice pictures and then release them back to the water.

Thanks for any help,
Calvin

Hey Calvin.
You are going to the right spot for a variety of fish. The Niagara River has Bass, Walleye, Pike, Musky and a few different types of Trout and Salmon. It is big water so can be tricky at times, but can be fished from a boat or shore. Both the Upper and Lower wll produce.
Tube jigs, cranks, spinners and spoons can all be good.

Alfie.

Calvin, Niagara falls right now, you can fish for brown trout, steelhead or salmon. Pike & bass are close for the season. casting spinners would be your best bet for trout. or trolling. Lot's of spots by Niagara-on the lake. If you want to be challenged, the Niagara whirlpool is where the big fish are...i would suggest I charter or guided tour would serve you better than going there by yourself. Good luck and hope you have a productive trip here.

P.S.
I might visit my brother in Austin this year, he doesn't fish so he really don't have any info for me to fish there. Anything you can share would be appreciated.
