nice lil snot rockets...ever try brining them? you can take the head off, guts out and put the fish in a bucket of salty water then the next morning jus pull the meat off the bones

Nice hammer handles, may I suggest the 5 fillet method for pike, cutting around the bones. Very easy and quick. Youtube it if you haven't seen the video before.

Nice fish, some people pickle the pike till the bones are soft like sardines I have never tryed it but might at some time. Neat cat too

thanks for all the suggestions guys!! Although i think im gonna continue to not kill pike they are a blast to ice fish for so id rather let them live to catch them again, those perch and bluegill on the other hand are coming home with my if they are big enough man those blue gills are tasty i need to find some bigger ones!

My yesterdays outting.

Pike gave up quiet the fight, and went back to fight an other day.
Should have put something beside the perch and bluegills to compare too, the gills were slabs!

But no Redneck poses

And for that, Tinman, we are truly grateful...

Looks like a great day out buddy

Thanks man a good day out forsure, really had to work em tho, basically sight fished them(watched them take the bait)..even the pike was a little slow..until it turned and smashed and went for a crazy run to the side, and on light gear too.

No Redneck shots today lol was by myself no one on the lake! Cant complain tho..

Thank you! The bluegills sure do put up a good little fight on light gear! I tossed back a few more all around the same size..

Good luck on trying for the brookies and your outting! Hoping to see some pics.
