i found some of my grandpa's old crainkbaits and spinners and noticed that more than half of them were painted white with red fronts. i wonder if thats the case with most antique lures or if its just a favorite pattern in the waters my granda used to fish. if you see any antique lures please post a picture.

The red and white is pretty common in the antiques. It's not just your grandfather's favourite.

I was at an auction recently and saw some nice antique Heddon lures. I wish I had stayed to the end when they were auctioned off. If they have any at the next auction I go to, I'll definitely grab em and post some pics.

thanks for the info. by the way most of the lures i found were in great shape in terms of paint and body. the only thing that needs to be replaced are the hooks.

here are some pics of some antique flies( i'm surprized they lasted so long)
