Anyone know which companies make a nice MH F bait caster rod in 2 pieces??

Iv been searching around local shops ( Sail, BPS, Natural sports) And I find that only 3 options that come in around 7', MH, F - XF 2pcs rods are only Abu veritas or Vendetta and I think Shimano crucial??

I prefer to have a 2 pc because its easier to put in the back of my trunk, but Im willing to drop a bit more on it because I believe you get what u pay for.

But theres not much options as far as i know, that are 2 pc bait casters for MH F and around the 7' length.

I recently purchased a three piece Daiwa Ardito TR from tackle warehouse. Its 7'6"and came with a travel/storage case, so that your investment doesn't get banged up in the trunk. I keep mine in my trunk and need the compact rod as well. Its light, sensitve and a medium heavy - fast action rod. Just remember that you will have to pay taxes, shipping and duty on it. Ended up paying about $170, but I got exactly what I wanted. I have mated it with a Daiwa Tatula 100H. Its an awesome combo.

Oh no way, thanks I'll have to check it out. Its tough shopping for 2 piece bait casters, not many options seeing how most of them only make 1 piece lol.

I think Gagnons carries the Ardito as well. St. Croix makes some 2pc casting rods in their Premier series that are probably worth checking out.

I have a 7' MH fast 2 piece Veritas and love it. Its my favourite casting rod (others are HMG, Vendetta And Compre) It's a bit heavier than the 1 piece but like you I need it to collapse for travelling. Stiffest rod I've ever used and rips the largemouths out of the pads.

I love the Veritas too, I have it in the spinning version lol. I heard so many complaints of it snapping, but Ive had mine for about a year now and never broke it yet.

I was actually thinking of getting it in the casting version too, but I decided to get something different.

My Compre is a 6'10 1 piece. I do like the rod but I find the definition of fast tip is not the same as say an Abu Garcia. The Compre seems to be more moderate although has the backbone to it. I have a Curado on mine too but use it for crankbaits.

I haven't had my Veritas that long but so far no issues. I have heard the ones with micro guides tend to break off easily though.

yup, the Veritas was the my first Abu product I've owned. And It impressed me a lot. Its sensitive and light but strong as well, and it looks nice. I bought this rod knowing that a lot of people claim it snaps easy lol. But I got it anyway and love it.
