Why would it be sketchy? "chasing tails" (the name of the reel) was donated by Ron for a derby to raise funds for stocking the geen. I believe it was a lake tournament and if a boater won it he might have no use for it. There is only 1 of those reels in existence so it would be hard to fake it

I saw $2500 worth of fishing equipment posted on Kijiji with a photo some some dude holding a reel in a parking lot. My first thought it was stolen goods like half the stuff posted on Kijiji. Who is Ron, Chaising Tails and when was this derby? I don't follow this stuff.

It was a few weeks ago. I have always kinda figured there isn't that much stolen stuff on kijiji, Like it wouldn't be that hard for the cops or the victim of a theft to do a quick search online,

I was thinking the same thing, but my limited knowledge of the product kinda kept me quiet.

Posting stolen goods on Kijiji is the WORST thing you can do. Very easy to find your location (IP Seearches) its like putting a baited hook out to the Police. Next thing you know billy bob is asking you to meet somewhere to buy something once they can prove this item is stolen they may have the police waiting around the corner.

Especially in this case, if there is only one r 2 of them out there. I am sure if this was stolen it would be like postiing a neon green learjet on Kijiji.
