Hi

Just wanted to know from Honda Civic owners.

First of all... state year & model of your civic, engine size, auto/manual.

I drive...

2005 Civic Sedan Auto (can't drive stick, don't like stick, because I suck, anyways.)

Why is it damn hard to get atleast 600KM until Low-Fuel-Light comes on? (LowFuelLight @ 40L mark or so, tank size 50L). I think I've only reached 600+KM/40L maybe like 4 times every since I bought the car new ... ?
I drive about... 40%local/60%highway.

What about YOU ?

Please,,, don't give me those damned MPG thingy... we Canada use metric system.

Thank you :D

My new (well old) car is a 1999 Honda Civic Si Coupe.
1.6 L SOHC VTEC engine with a 45 litre gas tank and equipped with a 5 speed manual transmission.

When my fuel light comes on, I'm usually very close to the 500km mark give or take a few. I can make it to 600 if I mainly go on highway like on fishing trips.

I've only had the car for less than 2 months, and I'm still new to driving stick, so in a few more months, i should be more efficient at shifting and be able to force some more km's per tank of fuel.

I use to have a 2002 black LX auto civic (kinda wishing I gone for another 4 cyc with gas prices these days) I was lucky to get 500km on a full tank. It might be that I have a lead foot. Also try getting a tune up, change spark plugs, tire pressure etc. might notice a difference after that.
