Anyone else fish the kawartha's (south east)?

My reports in that section seem so lonely :mrgreen: Only accompanied by diggyj's rice lake reports of course. Seems like we run that whole section! :roll:
I've posted 8 reports in there already this year... mostly from Lake Scugog.
You guys should venture out and fish that area! Lots of great fish to be had, and not too far from the GTA.

I've been meaning to write up a detailed report to submit including Canal, Mitchell and Balsam Lake. Just hard to find the time. I fish more the western and Central Kawarthas but would lke to read up on Buckhorn and Sturgeon. I'll make an entry when the stars allign and join in on the discussion.

I have to admit that I rule the Northern reports section as I'm the only poster there. 'Tis a lonely but beautiful place in the North, lol.

I'll also have to report on my exploits around GBay and Lake Ontario tribs.

reefrunner, ever fish dalrymple? since it's so close to canal.
I've gone a few times this year and the bass/walleye fishing is pretty good! Lots of pike and crappie as well.

I have, but not in the past year.

I went with the ex-gf and stayed at a friends on avery point. Nobody was a fisher, so I was the only sob that got up at the crack of dawn and had to head back to take the others on a boat ride when they got up.

For the few hours of fishing I got in, I concentrated my efforts on walleye. Avery Point has a good drop-off maybe 30 feet from the shoreline jutting into the middle of the lake. I was switching between deep running cranks and jigs. I didnt get into any walleye but pulled in a chunky largemouth.

I'd go back and try it out again for sure.

Lol, Anthony, next time we get out we gotta catch some fish for photos! Lol.
If I do make it out tonight and catch some fish I will report that in the southeast for sure!

Didn't work out last night, haha. No report once again.

Went over to Bewdley and caught a couple of baby sunfish...while trading off 3 pieces of crazy legs..complete rip off haha.
