Anyone going to pike fish Sauga?

Anyone from Mississauga here that's going to pike fish this weekend? I want to try for pike this weekend, but where are some location that possible might hold a few pikes? I don't want to go to an area and spend 2-3 hours there without a pike ever going to swim by. I know that of course I am most likely to get skunked, but trying to up my % of landing one.

What lures can I use as well? Bass lures that I can use for pike because I only fish for bass, but feeling the rust and want to go out for some air.

Hey Trippy,

I have not caught any pike from the Mississauga area, so can't help you out there. However, I like to use spinners (inline and safety pin) as well as jerkbaits, x-raps and spoons for pike. I have probably had the most luck with inline spinners and then jerkbaits.

Try lakeshore promenade park I heard there is pike in the harbour not sure if you can fish there though...

Thats a good place, lots of rocky shoreline to fish from just be careful from the rocks. A deep diving lipless crankbait would be good to use there.

What about on the other side where the beach is? Would they be in that protected area of a sandy/gravel beach?

I'm going out on Saturday, hopefully it'll be a fun day.

Are you talking about the side where they have the boat lunch? I did see a dead pike in this part of the park on the beach so there maybe fish in there as well.

Yep. I'm talking about the the boat a launch. There is a beach there as well.

Today i had some like at eglinton flat on jane and eglinto the pond over there caught a couple pikes the pond has allot of fish and many times i go and we always catcha pike or 2 nice sizes to, if that helps englinton flats has pike.
