I can't handle the sun like I used to. So I'm going to buy a long sleeve fishing shirt made of that whatever material it is. And also a buff, which is a term I just learned.

The cheapest I can find them is on amazon but with shipping it comes to $17US. Other than that, in the stores they are $22 to $30.

I guess that is the going rate?

Anyway, so does anyone here use them? How do you like it?

Joe Fresh carriers long sleeve white T-shirts. Perfect for preventing lobsterization.

buff - pike pattern. helps me with my allergies...got it as a gift...my wife bought it for $17 at Lebaron's...right now I think it's $22 cad.

I also use a buff and absolutely love it for sun protection, a bit of added warmth, and help with some bugs.

I use the buff sometimes but it becomes a hassle when I wear sunglasses.

It will fog up the lenses.. the brand buff I use is from Hoo Rag.

I'm thinking of buying gloves to cover up my hands as well.

I sometimes have issues with fogging up with my current one. But I picked up the simms this year, it has holes in front by nose/mouth to allow exhaled breath to escape. Hope it works, and the holes dont tan into my face... I second the help with the bugs, dont end up
sucking in as much.

I use an Under Armour buff.. Love it. I mainly use it to keep the sun off my neck. Under Armour makes some nice stuff for fishing. Little pricier but work the money

I use a buff plus i wear alot SPF clothing, high tech clothing is well worth the money. Plus you can find SPF clothing at Winners now and then for alot cheaper then at big box stores.

Pretty well will only fish with a buff 4seasons, great in the summer for keeping harmful uv rays off the face as well as soaking and wearing to bring your temperature down.
I will also wear my buff in the winter and spring where high cold winds can be a factor, it is absolutely incredible how much of a difference it can make.
Beyond all of these factors you look damn cool wearing it.

pump, check amazon for some nice sunglasses that doesn't fog. there are pretty affordable ones...

I wear one most of the time because my lower lip gets sunburned real easily and I hate putting sunscreen on it.
I paid around $20 for mine. Plus if you fish in crowded areas.....people usually give you more space when you're wearing one

I usually wear one when i know ill use it. On the really hot days i wear it like the ninja mask for the day. or just wear it like a toque if the suns not too bad.
along with longsleeves/gloves of proper materials a day in the sun is comfy and no need to grease up.
really makes a difference on the long days that cant be compared to anything.

the best thing about it is all the forms it can take

I wear my brown trout buff for all seasons. I absolutely HATE putting on sun screen. I hate how it feels and how it gets everywhere.
My buff has allowed me to stop wearing sunscreen and avoid getting "lobsterization", as Aqua calls it.

Think of all the money you save not having to put on sunscreen. That sh*t is expensive.

sail is having 15% off sale so i decided now was the time to get this stuff, especially since i already live in burlington.

got this one. $12 more than the other kind but i wanted the mouth holes:
