Anyone Use a Wall mount rod holder?

My nephew made me one and I want to mount it on the wall. Not sure how far apart to put brackets. I've seen pictures where they're fairly close together and others where farther apart. Pros and cons before I start hammering, drilling, blasting etc.?

If your rods are short than close together, and if your rods are long than further apart. If you have both then maximize the distance to accomodate your shortest rod.

Staffman is spot on. Although I actually had a custom built one that seems to fit pretty much anyone of my rods.
