Hey everyone,

I need some help locating a bait shop that sells minnows, worms, and leaches in the innisfill/keswick area. I've done some research and all I can find is retailers selling worms and leeches but no minnows. If anyone knows where I can go, I would truly appreciate it thanks.

where are you coming from--i know a guy in pefferlaw which is east---there is a shop in markham which is on my way up...but the key question is from where are you travelling..

There are still places with leeches? I thought they couldn't be imported into Ontario any more?

I found a few places on rice that have leeches, so i thought some places around simcoe would. If they aren't allowed i will stop using them. But minnows are amazing for drop shotting.

I don't think they are illegal to use, just to import into Ontario. I found this link and it doesn't specifically say that you can't use them. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/stdprodconsume/groups/lr/@mnr/@enforcement/documents/document/stdprod_097195.pdf
2nd last paragraph.

I did find this though. http://www.gazette.gc.ca/archives/p2/2005/2005-09-21/html/sor-dors249-eng.html

I think I'm going to have to build myself a leech trap for next summer.

I think it just means you cannot not use an invasive leech, that you would have to use leeches that are common to Ontario. That what I gathered from the link you posted.

+1 used these guys for minnows before they open at 6Am but the owner is always there and will gladly get you mimnows. Last time there he only had Medium-Small but are cheap and gives you lots. From there we launch at Lake Simcoe Marine witch is only 10$ or free in the off seasons. They are like 5-10 mins from eachother.

Awesome thanks for the info guys, my buddy and i are renting from lake simcoe marine this weekend so this is perfect for us!!! Thanks again and like always i'll post a report and some pics of our day!!!
