Bass Opener, the results of 13+ hours on the water...

Went out on bass opener got out on the water at about 6:32AM and got off the water at 8:50PM
started in the shallows and didnt find any fish, just a nice gold fish out of the cut, went out to some deeper water 10fow+ not too deep though, and started getting some nice smallmouth, i was using a purple and brown goby coffee tube and it worked wonders, lost lots of big heavy fish on hooksets that seemed to stragiten out my hooks! ended up with atleast 40+ nice fish, got a few small mouth in the 18.5-20 inche range and my first fish on bass opener a 20.5 inch smallie that weighted 3.75lbs , not much a belly on her though. also got a nice 20 inch large mouth, no real weight to it either, i believe it weighted 3.5lbs. my fishing partner also landed alot of nice fish on the fly out on the lake! also we got two double header small mouths and a nice pike on a big depth raider that took off through a hole in the net.

check out your smallie, that is a beast, looked to be 19+ inches? i caught one similar but no real weight to it!

your right, going to start take pictures from here on in. video does not always do a trip justice. and the gopro is so easy to take pics with.

I had some fancy camera work goin there lol The first one was smaller, I didnt measure the length but probably weighed around 1.5lbs. The second one was 17.5" and I would estimate weighed around 2.5 lbs give or take a 1/4 lb.

Thats awesome Nado some nice fish for sure! about the same size we got into, nothing with real weight though! 17.5 is a nice small mouth any day where im from! thats probably my favorit size to catch!

Nice fish! and the water was sooo clear. Where you jigging those tubes or just retrieving them slowly?

Great video! I just watched the first half and it looks like you are getting pretty good with angles and editing.

Thanks dirk and NADO & @ALN it was texas rigged! Good combination of both, but the key being the slow rod tip let down while reeling in slow(3-5times)( to keep the tube low in the water column) this attracts the fish to follow and get interested after the 3-5 reels let the tube fall and sit/hit the bottom and jig. BOOOM FISH ON

just got off the water from targeting smallies! some great fish.
