hahahahaha
he has potentially replaced me in the fall, with YOU!!!
"mikeymikey is going to become the new christine if you go to china for a month"

With the water temperature still be relatively cold for this time of year, many of the bass probably have not finished spawning and are still on their beds. Just keep that in mind to release those fish so they can go back to protecting their nest.

if we do get to go out on rice...we're gonna be targetting fish away from shores...around weeds away from possible nests.

I C&R Bass anyway. Don't think big bass would be good eating.

Never keep any big bass PERIOD!

Especially in Canada,,, 4lb+ bass takes so many years to grow due to the weather.

Everyone should release all bass. Why not just take a dozen or more panfish instead?

Damn it !

I have eaten bass and they have an all right taste, but I am less likely to do so because for a bass to get to 5 lbs in Canada, it can take upwards of 15 to 20 years for that bass to get to that size. These fish have a huge potential to produce a large amount of offspring that they need to be thrown back.

Does it really take that long for Bass to grow?

Yes. It Does Take Very Long In Canada compare to south~ like Florida.

I remember watching one of the 'The Real Fishing Show' with Bob Izumi and he said something about taking almost twice as long to grow to same size here in Canada compare to bass from weather that is all season warm.

So please release all largie you catch and instead take bunch of panfish.
