Hey there...

Has anyone here online shopped from BPS ?

Do they ship it from US? or Canada?

I don't mind going to their store sometimes, but I prefer Cabelas online than BPS Online, I'm a little biased as I know that Cabelas was around before BPS was, I also heard that our canadian BPS shop gets left-over stuff from what US stores don't want, and yes I've heard stories to stay away from from them, while others have said they've never had problems with their orders & shipping. I personally prefer Cabelas because they a large selection of products & they have excellent order tracking & shipping rates. Aswell BPS doesn't ship their products from their actual stores like what Cabelas does, they have a warehouse where all of their products have to be shipped out from, I think its in Florida or Pennslyvannia.

Ya I've shopped online bps a couple times had no troubles a got exactly what i wanted shipping was quick took only a week you don't have to pay duty either which is nice. depending on what you spend i think shipping is only 5 $ on something like that and you get the american pricing which is sometimes lower than canadian especially whith the dollar near par. The only downside i can think of is if you need something during the fishing season you have to wait for it. I ordered my stuff in the off season so it wasn't a problem waiting. But it sure beats spending 50$ driving from sudbury!

shipping fees are not so friendly i don't think. i was going to buy frozenfire a bunch of xraps for his birthday and was going to purchase them online until i saw a shipping fee of $16 for under $40 of merchandise. i guess $16 is not so bad but i don't live that far from bps either. i also worried about extra duties at the door upon delivery but it's good to know that they don't charge extra.

i think it'd probably be worth it to buy products online if there was a big sale.

or try ebay.

I guess the shipping price is related to the total amount of your purchase.

For me it's worth it because it's a 3 hour drive to BPS

I believe that minimum shipping fee starts with $15. If you live far away from BPS (someone mentioned Sudbury ) it still may be worth while. Also keep in mind, anything that you buy outside Canada (USA including) is import and subject to customs duty if value is more then $20 Canadian.

Ya if you buy a bunch of stuff it's more worth it.

But I have never paid duty from them.

I suppose it depends what you going to be getting if you get lots of items then the shipping fee is not so bad. But Cabelas will also charge you duty where Basspro does not. I guess the nice thing about Cabelas though is you can ship the stuff to a store nearest your location and go pick it up or have someone else pick it up for you if you have a friend who is a trucker and takes the route near the store you ship your merchandise to and pick it up for you. In store pickup shipping is free.

If you are close to Toronto, it doen't make sense when you compare the price to LeBarons. If you far from Toronto, LeBarons have a online shipping program that I think is better, but does not have the variety.

I shop bps all the time online. Never had a problem, get exactly what I ordered, 5 days is the longest it's taken to get to me. I was sceptical at first, but after the first few times, I got less worried.

u wouldn;t get charged duty on anythin u buy, because when u pay for it it will change it over to canadian funds and all taxes and what not will be figured in as well. the selection online differs from that in the store in vaughn though. i look online all the time for things, and when i went to the store to look around and get a few things, i was surprised to learn that BPS in vaughn does NOT carry any Quantum rods. just the reels. also, i bought 2 reels and noticed the price for the Quantum Tour Edition PT reel was $35 cheaper at the store then online, and the Quantum energy PT was $10 more expensive in the store.
