Ya the timing out thing gets me too and does "urinate me off" when I spend the time to think about and research what I am saying. Only to have to start all over again.

There's one I can relate to. Sneaking away.

I do high end home renos and everytime we arrive at a new job where there is any type of river, lake, stream or pond (which is quite often) the bossman tells everyone to keep an eye on me.
We actually arrived at a house last summer, and after a short hike thru the forest I arrived at a pool my Dad and I fished 25 years ago. The home owner told me I was welcome to fish there anytime. Little did he know I would show up the 2nd day on the job with my rod and a tarp to sleep under that night. I camped out that night and got 6 or 8 nice Bass and a 5 lb Pike. :D

That's COOL Alfie! I like the part about You and Your Dad having Fished it 20 Years Ago! Must have brought back Good Memories.

Nice catch also!
It was definitely COOL. My Dad started taking my brother and I there when I was about 10, which would be 40 years ago. Dad would put on his waders and head up stream for Bass and Pike. My Brother and I would stay near the bridge and catch thousands of Rock Bass and the occasional Smallie. As I got older and got my own waders I would go upstream too. We went there together every year until I was about 25.
This year we left Hamilton for the job and I was told it was near Cargill. I said "Oh, my Dad and I used to fish a river near there." As we got to an intersection of 2 dirt roads the GPS was telling us to turn left. I said "Hang on, go straight." 100 yds further we found the bridge where Dad and I used to park. We back tracked to the job site and found it, but I said go straight there's another bridge, and sure enuff. It brought back great memories. The house we worked on is only 19 years old so it wasn't even there last time I was.
Walking thru the bush from the house I found " The Bass Pot." The old willow tree is still there but I think half of it is missing.
I now have a standing invitation to go back anytime I like, I can camp by the river. I hope to start a new tradition of going up there every year.

I'm getting Paranoid about this "Timed Out" thing so I made this one seperate.

We also did Summer Homes (Before We got Married  )

These 2 we did in ONE Summer. Just the 2 0f us, a Honda Generator, Camping Trailer and our ZOOOOOOOM V-8 Ford 150. We came Home on the weekends. It's on Clear Lake.

We had the Foundations put in the Summer before. The Mansard Roof one is about 2,500 Sq. Ft. The other one is my design. 2 Trusses (Had them "Enginered Certified" to meet the Code) that are Joined at the top, on site and they formed the Walls and Roof.

Enough Bragging for now :D :D
What year was that Ford? Late 70's?
Those are some interesting before and after pics, nice.
Whose idea was the Mansard? I curse that person  Most of our renos are exterior, siding, decks etc. But most of the work we do is permanent roofing/ aluminum and metal. Now I'm going to brag  Crews were rated on their work and production only counted for a small bit of the rating, quality like no leaks was very high on the list. But also high on the list was the look of the finished product, afterall these folks are paying 3 to 4 times what an asphalt roof would cost, so it has to look good. I had the top rated crew in Ontario 3 years running. Now at 50 I can't slap on the tiles like I used to but I am a master "flasher" and I work for a guy I trained a while back. His crew is now at the top of the list. People don't notice the rows and rows of shingles unless they are severely messed up. What they notice is the flashing and that's all me :D

OOPS! Forgot One Profile Pic "CAT FISH" Maybe I'll use it.

As Below and a few Yuk Yuks. I'm sure no one here will Identify with any of them.

Those are awesome! Too bad people would notice if I went missing! Fishermen are crazy, crazy cool!

Its interesting hearing about some your work Alfigee and FishHawk. The basement and home looks really nice! I like to consider myself a bit of a handyman... I can do little things, like a dog house, chicken coop and things like that. The skill and tradesman ship to do those jobs is incredible.

It's amazing hearing the stories about you fishing the same river for soo long and catch good fish at that Alfie. Really really cool.
