If something has tooth that can chop down big trees....you're a fool for provoking it.

....reminds me, for some reason, of that 80s T-shirt with a Canadian nationalism theme.... it was a (Canadian) beaver looking determined up at an (American) eagle, giving it the "finger" as the eagle screamed down to attack, wings back, needle-sharp talons out and ready to rip flesh at any moment. Under this graphic were the words "The Last Act of Defiance"

.... that and "Hitler's World Tour" T shirt from that period were my faves :D it was done like a classic concert T and on the back were the dates of the "concert" "Poland - Sept/39", "Holland - May/40", "France - June/40" and so on then it came to the UK "concert" date, "Aug/40", it was crossed out with the words "Cancelled" across it.... huuu boy

ok, maybe it's just me lol

That is crazy! Hope I never come across a crazy beaver, maybe it was drinking the water it lives in... ;)

Nice, they sound awesome. :D I love old t-shirts.

When I was fishing the french river last year for pike, there were probably about 30 beavers I came across. It was really a highly populated area for beavers and every 20 minutes I would hear one splash their tail on the water.

My dad told me that when he used to be a trapper, he's was attacked a couple times by a beaver. He said that they often will suddenly stand on their hind legs and hop/run at you while snapping their teeth. Beavers have behavior similar to snapping turtles; they're aggressive on land, but will flee once in the water.

Btw: When beavers are standing on their hind legs, they tend to be almost crotch height... So watch out for those big, bark loving rodents.

Damn!

Fishing an east trib this year first time ever I have seen a beaver that close.
We were in the wader about knee deep my friend move up the river about 7-10 feet
what looked to be a rock started moving he was like WTF?!?!?!
I looked to see this beaver swimming down river right past my left less than a foot away.

I think the guy wanted a picture of the wrong beaver!

Well he really should have left it alone/shot from farther back. Poor guy. Anyway, i haven't like them since i was being chased by a beaver in my canoe with my dad.
