I am heading up to Belmont Lake at the end of April for a golfing trip with a few buddies. Unfortunately most of the desirable species there are still going to be closed but I was wondering if the lake has a decent perch population that would be worth targeting? As usual I am the only angler in the group so perch fishing would actually be a good option.

are you ditching golfing buddies for perch fishing...if so...been there, done that...

I used to be an avid golfer before fishing took over, we are playing Kawartha's Country Club on the Saturday which is a Stanley Thompson design and pretty highly rated in Canada so I am looking forward to it. I was excited about the fishing prospects when we planned the trip and I wasn't thinking about open seasons, now that we are getting close I realized that everything is closed! lol

This rain keeps up, your going to need the yak to navigate golf course.
Coming down HARD

Lol. Most of the kawarthas are indeed close. Celtic for pike which is open all year.
