So what is the "best" mono line at the 4 lbs mark. Please give details.....I need some lite line for a lite river setup. I will be throwing 1/16 th- 1/8 th size lures only this this setup.

Cheers.

Im stuck on siglon f.. Suffix promix is decent i find it twists a lot at 4 lb... To be honest if my main line was 4lb test id use flouro

I use trailer on all my spinning and float setups. Its a great line have used it for many years with no complaints. I have tried other lines but keep going back to trilene

Id say good old Trilene. Or the smooth casting. Spiderwire mono has very little stretch.
:???: I just picked up some Spidermono. Havent used it yet. So it wasnt favourable for you?

Ive always been a Trilene guy, never any complaints, just thought I'd try something new.

Any name brand will do. Although I personally think Trilene XL has better knot strength than some of the other similarly priced 4lb lines.

If you want the creme of the crop for stream fishing, Maxima Ultragreen is probably the best you can get. It's only short comming is $$$$$: like $12/filler spool that only givels you 220 yards or so.
