Headed out on the hard water today for the first time this season. It was a brisk -15f out. I test punched some holes and the ice plenty thick at 13". My wife and I didn't catch any monsters this trip but had a great time outdoors together. No one else on the lake. We watched five moose on the lake walk back and fourth and some running around like dogs. It was a peaceful fun trip. Enjoy some pics.

Nice pics AK...sounds like a great time out with the mrs...

NADO you play around with the 385 yet????

I'm picking up my survival suit today, got my spud yesterday. Gonna do some ice testing today on some small lakes, not expecting to be able to fish but if I find enough ice i'll try for some pan fish near shore.

Good to see. Great photos. Looks like a blast.

I'm making my first trip out on monday or tuesday, hopefully..... looking for a partner to hold the rope while I walk out and test.

I guess you'll be in Winnipeg? If around here I'm looking for a rope man as well :)

some lakes are open around Parry Sound, but I know one thats got 4 inch of ice on it, at least till 60 feet out and only 4 feet deep. I was by myself so I was not going deep. But 4 inch is good for Nov 30th, one more cold night and I think I will be pulling Perch out of 8inch holes :)
