Bluffer's March 27

I know its a little late but anyone planning to goto Bluffers tomorrow? (took tomorrow off)
Was gonna hit up Holland but doesn't look like theres any action there.
If anyone is going send me a pm or post a reply, i will check in the morning.

Hit Bluffers today...no luck, gonna try Humber tommorrow, and maybe some of the harborfront downtown, depending on how it goes. but good luck to ya!

Where is goo spot to fish at Bluffers ? I never tried fishing there, and looking at the map - it looks big. So where do people usually fish there?

I have fished there a couple times (without any luck, though). I have fished the boat launch area and have also parked in the lot at eastern end of the road (near the beach area) and fished the marina area right up to the opening toward the lake. It never occurred to me that the marina folks would object as there are no signs giving such an indication & nobody questioned me on it.

bLuffers used to ne great for Brown Trout and PIke about 10 years ago...Sadly they stopped stocking the browns and the Pike was overfished...Also they did a lot of development to the area which cleared out all the good structure and habittat. It's probably one of the worst Lak O's marina to fish which is sad cause it used to be so great and it's so close to my house

Got skunked... sun was out it was warm...fished the boat launch and nothing. moved over to the east end where the beach was and fished opposite the marina, and nothing. not even a ripple in the water. still a great day to be out though.

btw, all i tried was a YUM money minnow and a wiggle O. anyone has any suggestions on other good baits for pike?

4" perch pattern in natural nothing bright as clear water.

Runing at 6ft I had one decent one on by the wood bridge last week didn't land him.

ah i should have used the perch pattern x-rap then....the water was really green and murky couldn't see the bottom.

I found it murky as well...but then in the back of the marina it was nice and clear...too bad you didn`t catch anything. Gotta keep trying though.

Perhaps to try HJ 14 ?
