bronte creek?

One doofus even had a mooching rod, with a big weight on his line! Hmmmmmm. Needless to say the fish clammed right up when that bs started. Thanks guys!!! Typical Bronte bullshit! The amount off stripped female salmon laying all over the place, starting in the parking lot was quite disgusting, and pathetic. One of these days I wouldn't be surprised if that whole area gets closed to fishing.

What's a mooching rod?

And you mentioned the fish clammed up after that... but it's not like they bite anything anyway. I tried for 3 days and accept that.

lol I was there as well today. Every hole was shoulder to shoulder. Landed 2 males in the mouth and 2 females in the tail end :(

Wasn't a mooching rod. It was an old downrigging type of rod. Very short, and stiff with a spring on the tip. Some fish were biting today, and I had a few good takes, which I couldn't keep on very long. There were also browns in that hole.

Bronte, Credit, Ganny..... Its All the same b.s

2 out of five fisherman are newbs

1 out of the two newbs doesnt know any better

and the other two will do anything for just a catch or just the eggs or eating

and one will just get angry and call the mnr :)

i bet you everyone of us has at least ONCE snagged and those that say they dont are just a bunch of b.s coming out of thier mouth.

you are just better off minding your business and finding a new hole. let those losers take your spot because they aint going to catch jack crap unless its an intentional snag.

but keep in mind after one or two fish dont you think its would be fair for somebody else to give a whirl as well?

just a thought.

Sums it up beautifully!

I fail to understand why people stick to Petro Canada Park when there's a seemingly endless amount of water above it that hold just as much fish.

Bronte has become a nightmare and is now a glory hole for all the hacks. I agree with Meppsman, as well.. Plenty of water north of PC park.
-I remember fishing those waters 20 years ago when the browns were plenty and the people were scarce... It's a shame that times have flipped, for the worst.

I go there with my buddy, who has a very bad back. It's easier for him. We also get preferred parking in that special spot. I when by myself go elsewhere

I personly would like to see PC park to be a no fishing zone from the lake to the hi way!! (403 if im right) from sept 15 to last saturday of oct...
.(almost the same way you cant fish dennys dam at night in oct...!!!!!)
bronte creek is small compared to other spawning rivers... but the runs can be amazing...

yes i know its a park, public land "GREAT" fishing spot.. ect....(blah blah blah)
but i just dont think its worth the loss.

i love to fish, no matter where, no matter what kind of fish... and would like to see and hear about the future generation of fishermen/women!!!
i can always wait from them to pass PC (snagger) Park... and fish upstream, or wait untill the river in that area opens.....

we people of the public can only do so much ourselves.... and the MNR can only do somuch...
i would like to hear what the MNR would have to say about the situation and possible solutions...

what other solutions can there be??

(i would also like to see the dams removed in lowvelle park and in carsle.. i know the one fish ladder is not in use... pointless to have it...)

Why would you want to see the park closed? Wouldn't that just punish everyone because of some arseholes?

yes, it would... but the park does not need to be closed all year or anything.. just no fishing during first few (2-3) weeks of spawning run...
for eg, this year the water temps out in the lake were very strange this year, (got cold fast) with out much rain.

PC park is the first place they come a shore, low water levels and vast amounts of people are takeing their tolls on the fish population.

i would give up such a place for fishing for a few weeks if it ment better fishing for all in the long run...
i also think the fish would still be there and all over by mid oct...

we would gain more then we would lose...

salmon get raped by the charter boats and they get slaughtered in 2 feet of water. CO's know exactly what goes on every year at petro park but i have no clue why they never show up. this year they only showed up once at credit and that was before the salmon season even started its like they are afraid to deal with real butchers. One guy asked them will they be here when runs start they said year every week, bunch of bs i haven't seen them once yet.

There's only two or three CO's to deal with all the tribs from Port Dalhousie to Port Hope, and they drive out of Aurora everyday.
Mostly they just stick with the naturally reproducing creeks East of TO and leave the loogans to the stocking dependant ditches in the West End.

Part of the reason why the Halton Police is now more vigorously patrolling Bronte, they got into a bit of a turf war with the MNR.

petro canada park. you will learn new spots to park as you fish it more.

Without trying to take it into our own hands, who know...but as someone said, HRPS and MNR got into a turf war, maybe call HRPS instead of the MNR and see what happens??

WOW!!!! I think they deserve a big FAIL on that one, thats like a 3 hours drive to end each way from Aurora, your whole day would be taken up driving to Port Dalhousie and back. They should really re think that.
