I have heard that Bronte creek has a pretty good salmon run and it is near the credit which I might fish sometime this fall. Would I have better luck at the credit or bronte? Also if someone could tell me where to go and what to use that would be awsome.

You could go to bronte right now... I think every salmon from Lake Ontario is in there right now.. never seen so many lol..
Good luck parking anywhere though, the lot was full and people were triple parked, it was funny.

The eralier you go the better and the further up you go less chance of other fisherman. I might hop around spots, maybe go a bit north uP the river. Ill pm you, would be cool get advice on salmon fishing (trout fly fishing all the time) im driving a blacked out f150

The parking lot is full as of 20 minutes ago. lol.
A lot of russians sitting on bottom with chairs at all of the pools.
Going up river doesnt help. It's lined with people. QEW parking lot was full too when I drove by.. as was the carpool lot.. :???:

i know i wont be going to the bottom. Im gonna have to go up towards zimmerman maybe
I got there around 5 this morning, was a few vechicles there. Was non stop action until daylight broke then it slowed down. Landed a big male followed by a fat hen. Released both. lost many again. Two people fishing down from me didn't get their lines in on time on 1 of the fish so i walked down toward them while they were trying to unhook their lines, They went to cut their lines off and sliced right through mine. He had the end with the fish on it in his hand and handed me it. The fish was tired by then so i hand bombed the chinny to shore as i reached down to tail it he spit the hook. Will post pics later i forgot my camera so gotta get em off the friends phone.

i've never seen the river so busy. Must've seen about 50+ gutted hens littering the bank though...the smell was almost unbearable.

jpct's post likely had something to do with that as well... I mean, posting that on a visible thread is just plain dumb.. He had ulterior motives.. I didn't seen him post info like that when he was enjoying some of the early runs on other tribs.
Hopefully with this rain, the fish will have a chance.
