Hey everyone.

I did some super early 5am fishing. My target species was some Brown Trout. They were very picky today and I was only able to land 4 of them. I was able to picture one small 6".

My third Brown Trout hit really hard. They usually surface quite fast but this one was staying low and testing my 5 weight fly rod. After a couple of minutes I was finally able to see the trout and I estimate it was 13-16 inches. At the LAST second the beautiful trout got off.

Hope you guys enjoy this picture.

Funny thing about that. I was using a Royal Coachman dry and the trout were having no candy for it at all. I started stripping it in to change flies and that's when they started hitting it.

From then on I just used the Royal as a wet fly so to speak.
