Hey everyone, I'm going up to Buck Lake Huntsville area shortly and I'm wondering if anybody on this forum has an experience fishing it. If so, could you please share a few facts? I'm wondering what the main fish is and what to typically use and in general what area's of the lake are best for fishing in. I've also heard that the fish in this lake can be contaminated and not fit for eating. Is this true?

Well ill say it lol
You should really introduce yourself and contribute to the forum before asking for info.
Too many ppl jump on here n ask for hot spots n tips in their first post.

Sorry, I didn't know that was a prerequisite to this board. I'm a member of Channel 6-8 and nobody there minds giving information to new guys regardless of their contributions. But, to introduce myself.... I'm 23 years old, an outdoor fanatic. I've been fishing before I even started kindergarten and took up hunting 5 years ago. I mainly fish Long Point Bay for bass and pike and Port Burwell for perch and walleye and run a bunch of local cricks and ponds for trout. We try make it up north once a year at least and I always try get as much info about the lake I plan to fish before I head up there. Which is why I joined this forum to see if anybody knows anything about Buck Lake. So... I don't want hotspots, I don't need to know your favourite lure or bait, I don't need any specifics. I just want an idea of what I should expect before I head up there.......

Thanks, Red.

Welcome red. It's not a pre requisite just in good form. If you stick around for a while you will see similar posts like yours pop up almost every day, hence the wee bit of attitude you encountered. Nothing against you personally, basically an automated response lol. I don't fish that way so I'm useless, but get to know some of the peeps here and you will learn (and maybe get to teach) a lot.

Tight lines buddy
