who is up for hitting the great north for a weekend--make it a forum outing---cold weather camping some fishing--a few beers and some laughs---we can hit crown land it wont cost anything---gas only--i do this alot so if you want to do it--let me know and i will give you an idea of the gear you will have to have or use if you already have it.

Schnip you're getting ahead of yourself! The only thing to be thinking of right now is the plethora of steel we will slay sat :)

darn this weekend is the "weekend of all birthdays" for my family but I would love to go out camping by a river or something one weekend if anyone is down for that. I did my first semi major excursion with gear and a buddy this year and loved it.

Need to put that tent/boots/pack to good use.

Let me know if you ever want to head out in the future.

Awesome plan, too bad all my gear is in storage. It's a great way to learn how to camp and fish in the cold. I'd be in for next year when I get all my gear back.

Schnip some details not all, but more would attract more members.

1. Drive, canoe, hike into spot?
2. Lake/river fishing, target species (gear needed). Hunting; game big small.
3. General location.

Really wish I could join this time.

Thanks for setting it up tho, have a safe and great time.

Again???
You guys are massochists man...

right at the trailhead where you can canoe from or hike from there is a parking lot which is empty this time of year--it holds 30 cars---its an old decommissioned lot for carpooling off the 400 or something--the town even plows it in the winter---it is solely used for the lake as in the summer inner city youht go there with cops to see nature and camp...anyway the motorhome would fit--but i will be hiking in to the regular place i camp---huge cliffs beautiful scenery as wellppif you have the right gear and a candle in you tent its actually quit comfortable--but if its not your thig you will hate it...i have been in a blizzard at 1000 plus feet higher than i should be at -18 it all works out....lol

there are deep spots off the shore in aloto spots on the lake--seen guys pluck huge pike--i also have a canoe

I have 100 acres of land about 45 mins from dennys dam, its near hanover. plenty of room for cars and we can carpool to the fishing holes, there are also a handfull of pothole lakes very close to the property with bass pike and perch and theres a stocked trout pond (free) thats open all year 10k from the campsite. All i ask is respect of the land

ok lets do it---we can all camp-november is the best time as it isnt too too cold--big fire--fishing--i am in lets plan a weekend---OFF camping here we come...

That's close enough for me to do as a day trip. If it's not too windy and I had a partner I could canoe in I have difficulty picturing how you would fish McCrae from the shore..

I can partner with you when needed, been a few years since Ive been in one ( just like falling off a log (or canoe)) LOL

I'm not good at clambering and climbing obstacles and distances or I end up in pain but as long as I know the terrain it's manageable
