Lol my feelings exactly. Fishing rivers that have been untouched since September, 7 months of nothing!!!

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Yup, fish will be caught, redds will be stomped (unfortunately). lol. I'll probably be bushwacking out east this opener

You bring up a good point about the redds being stomped..never a bad idea to remind people to travle along riverbanks or bushwack from pool to pool and only walk in the water only when neccesary. There is no need to stomp up the middle of the creek even tho it maybe easier for you its harder on the fish..

I'd say its inevitable and contagious. Specially when you're the only one along the banks and the rest are in the water. I'd say avoid the gravels.

Inevitable indeed..but there is no sectioned off part of the river that says "lay eggs here". I always travel on the bank and bushwack unless @necessary. I do my part if you want to destroy hundreds of unborn chrome, go for it..

i can't say that i do...as i don't even wade on water. but seeing the number of people in the water come opening day...like i said, inevitable. the only time i was in the water in fact was when I fell fighting a fish. and it is very frustrating for people who fish in the banks on a high traffic pool. i am a bank fisherman myself. and that is why i've been doing a lot of hiking to find myself a lot of options.

No need for waders on any of the eastern creeks. Only nessecary up north or down south!

Thought I saw a sign today, just kidding.
Good call thought CA87. I make a point of bush-whacking around other anglers too so as not to disturb where they are fishing.
I wish some had shown me the same consideration today. I did catch a big Skunk today though.

Alfie.

west was INSANE! Never had such a crazy opener before. I think between me and the 4 guys next to me we landed about 40 fish within the hour.... I stopped taking pics after my first 5 lol.

My hand is SO SORE from fighting them on the pin...especially using spoons, they hit hard!
