Ive decided to start a new thread; whether its on the water, on the golf course or in the comfort of your own home, many of you as well as myself enjoy a cigar from time to time.

Here you can post your favourites, what you have on the go, short reviews on: lighters, snips, punches ect...

Ill start with a lighter I recently bought,

REGAL TRIPLEX

triple torch lighter, with punch.

I like the convenience of this lighter, with its built in punch thats one less thing I can loose on the water. The other convenience is that at its smaller size still maintains a large butane reservoir that can facilitate the ignition of 20 cigars on one fill. Functionality isnt always everything and I have to say that the lighter is brought together is an extremely attractive tortoise and aluminium body

If that medicine bottle is what i think it is.... That's some nasty whiskey lol. Cigars = goodness, I do enjoy a nice monte cristo from time to time. And when I'm really lucky a sweet cohiba is always nice [emoji1] just finished my last tubos from the Bahamas a couple weeks ago [emoji17]

Quorum are my regulars. Good price and smooth. I usually stock up when I go to Cuba but this year I went to Mexico and the Cuban cigars were overpriced.

Its the bottle we use for mixed drinks, actually pretty flavourful but not worth drinking straight.

How were they?

I like this thread! Nice one. Should we start a whiskey thread too?

I am a very occasional smoker, the opposite can be said about my whiskey consumption though.

I enjoy a nice Alec Bradley Tempus. I also enjoy a cohiba. I have minimal experience with cigars but have been slowly becoming more interested in them over the last couple of years. This fall/winter you may find me, cigar in mouth, flask in pocket, spey rod in hand on the hunt for steel.

I really like the smell of cigars when other people are smoking them, but don't like them myself.

Unless they are left handed cigars....

Very nice, feel free to include your whiskey (pairings or otherwise) here.

Also very nice stick, cant seem to find Alec Bradley at my two tobacconists but I always have a few down in florida!

Casa Magna colorado between classes, great cigar for 11$.
Id also like to throw it out there but I will be ordering a box shortly and if anyone wants to split I wouldnt mind.

Favorite whiskeys atm(in order of preference...and price apparently):
  1. auchentoshan 12yr
  2. mcclellands highland (a young single malt with excellent value)
  3. Justerini & Brooks , my day to day.
IR4J, do you have a few cigar recommendations for a beginner smoker like myself? Maybe some gars that will pair well with my preference in scotch? I like scotchs that are on the fruity or sweet side of the spectrum.

I can definitely suggest a cigar for the mcclellands as it is a single malt that I sip relatively regularly..

By far the best accompanyment I've had with it was a Cohiba torpedo but they tend to be pretty pricey and fuller bodied. That scotch is very "peaty" (thank you culinary school) which you should try and play off of with the cigar, something on the earthier side. If you have enjoyed ABs in the past you'd definately enjoy an Alec Bradley black market, this is the only Alec I can continuely find and for good reason. It's just a phenomenal stick.
