I want to just go purely for the action rather than eating the fish. I went once with my friend 2 weeks ago to a small local pond and I have heard of other people catching carp in that spot, but the only things eating our corn were catfish >:( I have a new 9 foot Ugly Stik that's just screaming for attention. Anyways I'd appreciate any feedback. Anyone know any spots?

Mykester, you may not want to tell me, but I am curious where you caught the cats. I have a personal bet with myself that I will bag a catfish before winter.

Heartlake in Brampton, caught a couple 3-5lbs catfish on corn and worms right from the shore.

now I am getting spoiled for choice. I was thinking I might go up to Heart, as I know it and I saw the bass you caught there. Also, there is a wicked splash pad, so if the weather is good, I could dump the kids there.

sorry jay, getting confused. it was Cypher who had the recent bass harvest at Heart Lake.

Check the First Fishing Report Section. They're not really big, but it's better than nothing.

I don't think there are any other species of catfish in Heart Lake other than brown bullhead... and they get nowhere close to 3-5lbs! Ontario record is 2.37 lbs. What kind of catfish are you catching? Channel cats? I doubt they would inhabit that small lake!
Someone correct me if I am wrong.

hit up brock street bridge in whitby. while going south on brock STREET(not brock road) it turns into water street and u will pass a bridge with about a 100 yard wide bay on your left. record carp pulled out of there(not mine of course) 62.8lbs

Thanks. If it wasn't for the University Fair I'd go check it out Sunday.

Try Frenchman's Bay in Pickering. Good luck

I googled it. Do you fish off the marina, or what part?

And I'm going to the spot durhman suggested either tomorrow or Sunday.
