Bass fisherman in Ontario carry many rods on their boat, but they only use one at a time. Biking and fishing through out he river sounds like a lot of fun and it'll make anyone a better fisherman.

You can have as many rods as you can carry, as long as you only have one line in the water. As for the 2 hooks, make sure its not 2 treble hooks because that will be a total of 6 hooks. A treble hook is considered one hook when attached to a hard bait ie. gliding rap would be two hooks. But when you have just a treble hook on the end of your line that's considered 3 hooks. Just something to consider.

I have never tried fishing while biking must be a new sport, I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time so I will settle for standing and fishing. I have done a drive by cast out of the car though.

That doesn't make any sense.. A treble is considered 3 hooks when attached onto a line, but considered one when part of a lure ? And if you're using a really large lure that often have 3 trebles attached, you are looking at 9 hooks worth of fines when without a lure ?

What if you like to add lots of stingers to your live bait ?

Eish..

Well after I did a bit of digging I found out that... No person shall angle with a line to which more than four hooks are attached. (but some waters do have restrictions on this law ie. single barbless only)

And after calling the MNR it seems that the treble hook on the hard bait / line law has been rewritten, and a treble hook is considered only one hook either way.

It's been awhile since I looked at the regs since I don't use stingers and multiple hooks, and usually fish the same water every summer it never really applied to me. Knowledge is power.

Thanks Afraz for bringing that up!
