Today I went fishing solo. My buddy and partner in crime (MadocFlyGuy) is enjoying some hot weather in some tropics. But can he say he is getting to fly fish!? ;-)

No matter. I hit up an area that produced some nice Speckle trout. This one is considered small compared to the others in this area.

Heading back tomorrow. Hopefully will land a 2-3 pounder soon!

Great spec - question for ya... is this a lake or river? If its a lake was it caught shallow? Green and white zoo cougs are good for big specs - a friend told me so

Hey Dozer. It is a lake.

This Speckle was caught running a fly against bottom with a VERY slow retrieve. Once I felt *tug tug* (the trout testing the fly), I set the hook.

Dozer, what is a zoo coug?

Beauty fish right there...
MFG is not gonna be happy missing out on that one...

Beauty fish man (all envy aside :p)

Can't wait to wet a line again - didn't get to do any fishing while in Barbados, but damn did I want to!
