Just about anywhere! Lake Ontario shoreline, ponds, river mouths, weedy areas.

The problem with Toronto is unless you are a local it can be tough to find fishing and parking spots. There were a few times that I was in Toronto for work and had my rod and reel with me but I had such a hard time finding spots while I was there that I usually didnt even end up fishing. One time I ended up parking illegally in this private boat club on lakeshore and hopped the fence to get out of the parking lot and fished the edge of the marina.

I wonder where the rent-a-cops were that time lol I bet they coulda had a field day with me fishing in the so called banned areas on the waterfront and also trespassing on top of that lol.

Does anyone know any good places to catch catfish or carp in Toronto?

Try the waterfront parks, Ashbridges Bay, Tommy Thompson Park (open weekends only), Lakeshore at mouth of the humber river and humber Bay park east / west (mimico creek).
All have Carp. Toronto Islands canals and ponds are a good bet too. Get the ferry from behind the Harbourcastle Westin hotel.

Also Grenadier pond in high park...!

I have tried tommy thompson park and had no luck, I was using bread as that was all I had.

We went to the Toronto Islands on Sunday and almost caught a large carp, but it got away. Does anyone know any good areas on the Island to catch big fish?
