caught some nice basss

i was out on the grand today and caught some nice smallies with cooked shrimp. bass wouldn't touch anything else... odd?

Good day of fishing.
Out west in Vancouver, I used a lot of cooked shimp. That was for trout.

When the bass are being "finicky" I use/try some raw bacon.
The white sinewy "fat" strip. Rig just like a worm or tube.
They love the smell, taste... presentation.

i was told on vancouver island to use it as bait for trout too.

That's funny. I used bacon too back east when I didn't have worms. Works well.
Maybe it was the smokey scent.
