It's probably been posted before, but just in case for those who missed it.
It's a very nice read and really helps me visualize the concept of CP angling. I don't think I'll ever want to switch back to a system with drag. It's just pure fun with a CP reel. For those who are on the fence and need a bit more info before making the plunge, this will help you with the decision.
The only thing that can be optional, is adding a shot line to your setup. From my own experience, I've had numerous break offs when I had a shot line in place and it frustrated the hell outta me. Some advice was given to me that adding an extra swivel to your setup can create another weak point. So, I took out the shot line from my setup equation and I was able to land a personal best fish. I wish I had changed my setup earlier because the ones I lost were of decent size too!
Go out there and experiment and see what works and what doesn't. That's the best way to increase your hookups.
Happy reading.
