geting a new center pin reel. has any one checked out the new okuma Raw-II 1002 center pin reel orderd it today cant wait to get it on the rivers now just need to get a new rod to go with it any suggestions would be great

[]was thinking on going with a 15 foot not to sure which brand to go with cant be over 350 bucks i already have a 13 and a 10 foot rod so thinking a 15 would be a nice addition to my arsenal hears the other side of the reel i love the look of it just hope it works as good cost 200 and change ordered it from fishingusa.com

nice reel you got ,i have a 15' raven a little heavy but i think under$ 400.00.i really like the tip design on the raven rods.try centerpinangling.com thay are canadian and have an assortment of pin fishing gear.if you can find a place to go in person and feel the rod in your hands all the better.i purchased some really expensive pin rods before and they were really light,but i really didn't care for the design.that's one down side to ordering on line.anyway do some research and find one you like.

had my im8 raven and stanton combo stolen out of my pickup this spring and had to go to something cost effective to get through the fall season ... went to okuma sheffield 50 bucks at hock shop and Shimano Clarus 13' 100 dollars rod is great for the money its been stepped on twice and flew out of the back of my truck on hwy 400 did two full flips end over end and still i went 25% over rated on my leader for Lake O Brawlers and no problems.....was skeptical about Shimano performance w/ drift tackle but seems to be all there, only downfall is weight.

Have you thought of a 15 foot Okuma rod to go with your reel ?
Bass Pro Shops - store under 150.00 . My buddy picked one up and he really likes it and he's really picky about his tackle.
