Cheapish float rods

I'm in the market for a 9-12 ft float rod, beginner and under $70... Any suggestions??

10'6 is probably too short, go 11'6 or even 13ft

never heard of bell rods, i just know at that kind of budget, the streamside series will come highly recommended by most folks on here. but you really want to go for the best bang for your buck

if this is for steel try the bass pro float and fly 9'6 rod. i used it as a starter and it never let me down. only 50$

if you dont mind the extra 50$ though get a streamside. its a better rod although twice the price

I purchased a few Browning six rivers throughout the years from BP 9.6 and 11.6 , very nice rods in my opinion.

I don't know where you fish but on the west tribs I find my 12'9" rod too short.

thats funny i found a 13 foot too long for most of those tribs if only they made a 12'9.5"

Lol I like the big sticks. I need to get a custom built 18'. Now that'd be a stick, I could drift down to the lake every drift.

Okuma has a nice rod its the sst float drifting model i have a 10'6 version and really like it for the tribs i fish however i do believe they come in different lengths and j think i only paid like 89bucks for it at sail.....combine that with a decent cp and u got yourself quite the combo

Recommend these. It was my first float rod, the 2 piece 13' 4-8. I used it for chinnies, steelhead, brookies etc. It never blew up with all the abuse I gave it. Decent starter rod for the money.

That's what I said too great starter rod, I still use the 9'6 in those tight GB tribs

sign up on floatfishing.net and look at the buy and sale, you might buy a much better rod for cheaper price. personally if you are going to fish for trout you can cheap out on rod, but cheap rod for salmon = broken rod or line. lol
