Chest Waders

Hello,

May have to break down and buy a new pair of waders for this winter. I was wondering if anyone could suggest certain brands or kinds? Im not looking to spend more then $200. Preferably a little less than that haha.

if you look at my thread, people gave me lot of help. but again they gave me expensive suggestions lol. neoprene is better for cold but you cant really use it septermber, october, april or may. and a decent breathable is pretty expensive. unless you fish once a week without bushwacking, then any wader should be fine.

Try the simms drift, or Blackfoot, they are simms cheapest waders, but seem to hold up okay! Other choice would be bare vedders, available at lebarons.

If I had the dough and was in the market I'd go Simms, heard good things about Patagonia's too. Sometimes it's better to spend on certain things, I believe waders are one of those items. Although 4 pair of neoprene for about the same money makes economic sense I hear they're not as comfortable as breathables. I've had my Bare's for over ten years I just keep patching them.

If your budget is under a couple hundred bucks, I suggest checking out Cabela's. They have great entry level breathable waders, and their neoprenes are some of the best quality waders I've owned. I know everyone is big on Simms, but honestly my Cabela's breathables have lasted twice as long. Not to mention Cabela's is a great place to deal with if you have any issues with their products.

Don't know if you picked up a pair yet but my vedders didnt last very long, about 45 days on the water after multiple patches. I ordered a new pair from DRYFT fishing. They are a relatively new company but they seem like they are built to last with double taped seams and reinforced knees and seat. 200$ plus shipping to canada is a little over your price point but nowhere near simms lol.
