When I bought the motor mount 3 years ago for $82 I thought I was getting a quality product, especially for a price that steep. Well both clamps that came with it broke the first time I tightened them. I went back to the store and they said Sevylor used to give you really thick ones and was shocked they started using POS clamps. Anyway, he had two spares and gave them to me. Well one of them finally broke.
Also, I should mention that when I called Coleman, which owns Sevylor, and told them that both clamps broke, they said they'd send me a replacement motor mount. The whole unit! I said I just need clamps. They said they can't provide. They told me in order to prevent fraud, they wanted me to destroy the entire motor mount with a hammer and send pics and then they'd send me a new one but it would take a while, which I didn't have in the middle of the fishing season.
The store said they don't carry that mount anymore for obvious reasons. And once again, Coleman said they can't provide those and to check a hardware store. So I'll head into a store with the clamp and ask if they can suggest something.
Any of you know where to get the same clamp?
