hey i was just wondering.

does the color in the line come off?
i wanted to get some red spiderwire stealth line or powerpro braided in red but the guy were i bought my rod said that he wouldnt recommend it.
said your hands and what ever part of your body the line touches will turn red.
is it really that bad?

It gets on your hand but not really, it only does that when its fresh off the spool, once your spooled up and have used it like once you're good to go. And it isn't that bad either, a quick rinse of your hands and it's off.

PP fades but is not very bad at all. Any braid fades abit and then stops fading eventually.

I use the red power pro for my flipping/pitching so it allows me to see the line in the water. Does come off onto my hand but for that person to not recommend it for that reason was wrong of him/her.

meh, the guy that told me about it said it will come out and go on my reel and my hands and my clothes. he says it is nice color and it looks good but
he told me it was up to me, to pick what i wanted. like he says he wouldnt use it for that purpose but i dont blame him.

i still might try it but meh

i like to hear everyones opinions.

try using super mono for flipping/pitching its coloured braid coated on mono so it dosent stretch it sinks and the colour stays and wont fade

You actually don't want the line to sink. The good thing about braid is how it floats and when flipping or pitching, a lot of the bites come off the fall. You want to see that in your slack line, hence the use of a baitcaster with a ratio of 7.1:1 at least.

any braided line comes originally in white, then dyed to certain colors.

they all will have some dye wash off, but after a while, itll stop.

you can speed up the fading a little bit so its not as messy while fishing, at home.
just run the freshly spool line under warm/hot water for a little bit, flick off the excess water (probably outside) for a few times.
repeat a few more times. itll aid removing some excess dyes. instead of having alot of it rub off on your fingers or guides.
the rest will come off as you cast and retrieve.

if in any doubt or you dont want any color on your hands. buy uncolored white braids.
white is actually very visible in alot of conditions.
