so the other day I was bass fishing I was using a five inch senko worm texas rigged and after a couple of fish were landed I was getting a little lazy and did not feel like casting anymore so I decided to put on a float with the same senko except I rigged it wacky style for presentation and it worked quite well I ended up catching and releasing 5 fish within 4 hours between 1 and 3 pounds 3 out of the 5 off the float which was actually my personal best for this particular pond.

Now this got me thinking about adapting and combining different techniques from different fish species and style of fishing. In my particular case I got the idea from trout fishing with pink worms and a float except I was fishing for bass. Has anyone else come across this situation and if so what did you come up with.

I sometime dream up "wacky" new ways to fish regular lures, but almost never use them, cause I have no confidence, and usually fish my go to baits, my go to rigging style. My go to bait and rigging style of now, is a weightless zoom fluke jr, texas riged. Your setup sounds solid though, and it would be a good way to suspend the worm in front of the fish, reminds of the float and fly rig.

the following day I went back and landed a huge rock bass I will upload that for u guys I took a pic next to my shoe to get a comparison my shoe is size 10 .5 ( I know its only a rock bass but it was definitely worth mentioning)
