While I can't speak for the particular Shimano Sustain, I've owned numerous Shimano reels from spinning to baitcasting and you can never go wrong with a Shimano. Good quality and, most importantly in my books, durability. My cousin has a FUEGO, he loves it, but it's a baitcaster. Most trout/salmon fishers I know trust a spinning combo over a boatcaster so I would recommend getting the Sustain.
The reels are pricey though. Look into a Shimano Stradic or Shara. Daiwa Exelcor (sic?) are excellent reels as well. Those reels have great drag systems on them, which is important for Salmonoids. You also want to consider line capacity on your spool, the more the better.
