Hello everyone, I'm a kid and wanted to try out my new gear sometime soon at Heart Lake Conservation Area. I've had some good Bass pulled out of there in the past but wanted to ask if you're allowed to fish bass out of season in conservation areas? I know it sounds kind of dumb, but I don't want to get myself in trouble. Thanks :)

There are kinds of fish there that are in season. A bass would be considered an incidental catch. If you do get one the law requires that you land it and release it asap, technically not even time for pics.
Bass are spawning and vulnerable as they will attack anything that moves near their nest.
If you do hook one, land it quickly and release it asap.

A so could I rent a boat and target the bass and just immediately release them without getting in trouble with the employees?

No!!!! You cannot target Bass.
If you accidentally catch one, so be it. Fast release.

The purpose of having a closed season for fish is to protect them from angling during part of the year.

Alright then, I'love wait for bass opener. I'love just stick to the crappie for spring, but are there actually crappie in the lake, if so, where around the lake?

Gotta wait til bass opener to actually target them, you will most likely have the MNR called on you if you do, target crappie, you can go for steel head/browns/specks in the rivers and creeks right now, catfish, carp, pike, walleye. tons of species to target that are more exciting than bass
