I upgraded my bearings for this up coming river season and they came dry. I put them in and my pin stops spinning in about 30 seconds.

Further research has told me to pick up some sewing machine oil and lubricate the bearings.

Some help on brands, where to pick it up, how much to use etc...

river season is right around the corner!

Thanks

One drop per bearing is all that is needed. Singer sewing machine oil or 3 in 1 household oil or a good gun oil will do the job. Your reel should spin longer than 30 seconds. You may not have the bearings seated properly to cause that rate of spin. If it doesn't improve take it or send it to say centerpinangling for repair. If you have the orange seal bearings removing the orange seals may help.

I was going to get the orange seals but read they were actually worse. I just got the ones below that. I have taken bearings in and out many times , I think all will be fixed with some lube. Its probably longer than 30 seconds, I didn't actually count, but it is noticeably slower. Thanks for the help!
