hey all. feel free to post your crazy float setup, knots, line use, leader choice, swivels, weights so on. and critique each other's choices without name calling.
my crazy set up numbers #1 most of the time people suffer from line twists from CP use, and to eliminate the fact best option is to use double swivel and shot line, or swivel above the float. but it is very risky, A. two knots that could fail, B. if your first knot fails or breaks goodbye float.
so my crazy set up that dawned on me to both eliminate twists and allow me to easily change my style of fishing is. float tube/float > shots> snap swivel > swivel > leader > hook. if i want to use a lure, just take the float out and take the leader off by it's swivel.
crazy set up #2 since fluorocarbon is not the best for small knots or knots is general it becomes really fragile at the knots after a fight or two, some times resulting in fish loss due to FC digging into itself. i came up with this idea that i have not put into practice yet.
what did think would make a slightly better knot strength; attach your fluorocarbon to 10 inch of mono(which ever length you want) with alberto knot, then attach the mono end to the swivel for better knot strength.
as i think of new wacky ideas i will post them, you guys feel free to always update.
