hey anybody with any info about the credit river erindale park area,or the bronte creek.what are the water conditions like around there, any fish still biting?

im gonna head to the bronte next weekend.

gonna check lowvelle park area.
has the section of the river always been open? or is this new area open this year.?

With all this rain it's high dirty and fast. This will allow great fall back now to the big lake. Some will stick around as long as it stays cool. 2-3 days no rain should be perfect for speed and colour.

Credit check today before work. Gonna be insane I think. Water condition is Lookin pretty gooda........ Hope the fish hits hard

thanks for the updates and info,i wasn't able to make it this spring just timing with the weather and 3hr plus drive for me,so looks like i will have to wait for the fall.

never ended up makeing it out...
went to "my hot spot" and landed a nice 22 inch bow, about ten pounds.
he had grey belly and few scraches

darn, that must be some FAT trout! Formula for calculating the weight of a fish is: (Girth^2 x Length) / 800= approximate weight of fish

So if the fish were about 10 pounds (given that the length is 22 inches), the girth would be around 19 inches. lol That's nice round bow. lol

It's definitely hard to make estimates when one doesn't have anything to measure, but I had to make this comment. lol

If the length is correct, I'm guessing the girth being, at most (realistically), around 13-15 inches. That would put the fish around the 4.5 to 6 pound range. Nice catch nonetheless.

Interesting math. Where does that equation come from and what are the units (inch / lb or cm/gram).

lol yeah, i wish i had a pic. its was longer then it was fat. i could get 4 fingers in it mouth, long face trout it was..lol
but he was very happy to get back under his log jam....

I caught a female in the fall that was 27 and 1/4 inches long and she weighed 7.5 pounds. She wasn't all that fat either. In fact, at first glance I thought she was a male.

Late update:
Fished the credit last friday and was shocked at the # of chromer's that had come up after the rain. Because the forecast was calling for rain, I was alone with my own stretch of river.. lost count after a couple hours of non stop action.
-I am def heading out this weekend.. rain or shine!

I don't know how come I never catch steelhead becuz I went there on Saturday morning ,just one day after you.
Maybe i was fishing too far upstream,I was fishing about 800 metres of the river north of the 403

^I actually fished further south.. I will probably head out around the 403 this weekend.. but only if I can't get friends to head down to Niagara, so we can hit the whirlpool.
