I understand that there are many tackle shops around the GTA that sell roe. It is illegal for individuals to sell roe.

i ran out last season 2 bought some off jb depot, darn expensive but it worked pretty good. If u dont wonna spend money just wait for salmon season its around the corner.

Not directed at the original poster but rather anyone new to supplying your own roe:

2 ancient preservation methods work very well, salt and freezing. You can probably freeze 'em without salt, but I like to rinse off the eggs in creek water, salt them like crazy, put them in a plastic container and freeze them.

No borax, no curing agent, no colour. Great for the lazy rookie! You'll use up all of your eggs or catch another plump female before these go bad.

salmotrutta thats how i like mine just salt, i never put borax and that atlas shake cure heard its not healthy for the fish as well.

Forgot to mention, icing them for about 10 minutes will harden them up so they become nice and rubbery and durable. If you're fishing in frigid water, you can do this at the creek. If not, put them in a large bowl filled with ice and some water. Then salt and freeze. No need to dry them or anything special.
