Daiwa A160, how old is this thing?

I found this old reel in my basement, not sure where it's from. Probably an old one from my dad back from the 80's. I'm just curious if anyone knows how old thing this might be? It's heavy, I put it on a spare rod for fun and man I can't imagine casting with it.
