Davy knot

An experienced steelheader recommended this knot. An experience with it? I tied a couple and they seem quite strong.

I have never tried it, but I will as it looks quick and easy. Hopefully it will be as strong as it looks.

I use the "Palomar Knot"... easy to tie & strong.

trilene knot for mono and fluoro, palomar for braid.

i tied the knot today and it held up very well, think i'll be using it more this season.

That looks way easier to tie than a lot of other knots when it's -5 and the wind's howling.

I think it'd be a faster tie after breaking a leader.
I always use Palomar at the hook, and shot line. Clinch when I snap.

I use and have tried a lot of different knots, and after checking this out, I think I will give it a try. It is easy and has good knot strength.

havent tried it but have seen it before ... looks pretty rigid thanks for the post ... i'll have to try it out come the Geen days
