Still patterning my rediscovered lake. Its wierd how you look at a lake differently after not fishing it for years. The muskoka lake is a great bass producer but has what i believe is an under utilized walleye population. We were forced to use an alternate launch b/c a barge was loading construction materials. On the way to beer can cove and bong bay where we been successful on past trips we found an island with a really steep drop into 30 fow and a connecting rocky saddle. On the second drop a nice 22 incher grabbed the jig and a 15" on the consecutive drop. Fished the saddle in 12fow and caught a few more sizzlers. No fish at the usual suspects so we stopped at our new spot 500m in front of the ramp and a chunky 5lb bit. I may have found where to wsste those days during the winter slow spell. Water temp was 84 air 36 and sunny east wind 25 fished from 10am -4pm using standard ML jigging gear.

The scouting always pays off ....

Even if it sometimes is "NOT WHAT" you want to see .... It either ISOLATES or ELIMINATES.

GBD, patterning out fish and finding new stuff is whats its about, you are the walleye master. Beer Can Cove and Bong Bay sound like fantastic places.

I think you would like the lake dozer good fishing and great scenery if you know what im saying. Post some pics up later
