I run 10lb main on all my set ups and never go below 5lb drennan on the leader end.
Ive fished all the lines now and before flouro carbon and have found drennan to be most durable but I also like the redwing phantom in 7.6 and 8.8 and its half the price of drennan. definenitley stay away from Berkley vanish by far the worst ive tried, use it a your gear will vanish, seriously.
I like to land steel quickly and see no need to go any lower on leader strength, the diameter differences are negligible if you ask me.
For main line its suffix promix and nothing else although I ran ande and super silver thread for many years, imo they cant compare to promix for a floatfishing application.
