Has anyone here ever used one? What can I expect the performance to be like?
Thanks!

I have used them for catching Walleye in Lake Erie. We used them for flat lining behind the boat , and didn't use a snubber , therefore we ran 20 lb mono. They will take your line out to the side of the boat as advertised. I think that we may have set the release tension too high because we couldn't always get them to release properly and when this happens it's a real chore to retrieve them. Best of luck.

Dipseys are great for getting your bait down and away from the boat. The chart on the luhrJensen site is useful. I would recommend using in combination with a line-counter real or even the clip on line-counter by Rapala. In combination, and utilizing the depth range chart, the dipsey is pretty accurate in getting your bait down in the water column you want to fish. It puts a lot of strain on your rod though.
